Subsoiling is one of the basic operations applicable in both farming and fruit growing. The subsoiling operation significantly promotes soil moisture accumulation while also breaking up the plow pan that prevents plant root spread and water seeking. What is little known in our market is that this agricultural measure also improves moisture evaporation, making it easier for groundwater to reach the surface during dry periods, and thus reach the roots.

Soil compaction is also very important when we talk about root development. Here's a photo that shows a comparison between subsoiling and conventional plowing where you can see the effectiveness of subsoiling.

Break the Barrier: Why Subsoiling is the Key to Higher Yields and Healthy Soil

If you feel like your crops hit a "wall" during dry seasons, or if you are seeing standing water in fields that used to drain well, you might be dealing with deep soil compaction. The solution isn't just to plow again—it's to rip the soil deep down.

Here is why using a subsoiler (ripper) like the MBV Terminator, Dragon, or Viper is a game-changer for your farm.

1. Shattering the "Plow Pan"

Continuous plowing at the same depth creates a hard, compacted layer known as the "plow pan". This layer acts like concrete, preventing plant roots from spreading deep into the soil.

2. Moisture Management: The "Sponge" Effect

Water management is the number one challenge in farming today. Subsoilers help in two distinct ways, acting as a reset button for your soil's hydrology.

  • Moisture Accumulation: The operation significantly promotes the accumulation of soil moisture by opening up the ground structure.

  • Drought Resistance (The Capillary Effect): This is a benefit little known in the marketSubsoiling improves moisture evaporation dynamics, making it easier for deep groundwater to reach the surface during dry periods. This means during a drought, your wheat or barley can access deep water reserves that were previously locked away.

3. Boosting Yields and Saving Fuel

While it seems like heavy work, switching to subsoiling strategies can actually lower your operational costs.
  • Fuel Efficiency: Machines like the Terminator Light and Dragon are designed to help you save fuel compared to older heavy tillage methods.
  • Yield Increase: By removing compaction and improving water access, you directly increase the potential yield of the crop. MBV notes that customers love these machines specifically because they "get rid of compaction and increase yields".

Frequently Asked Questions

If some details you can't find here, please refer to our DOCS and check everything

What happens if what I ordered is out of stock?

As soon as you place an order, our dedicated supply management will send ETA to your shipping address and inform you about it.

Can I get the machine in my country?

We are familiar with all frights that can deliver our machines almost anywhere in the world.

I want to order full truck of machines

That is great to hear! Don't worry, it's our day to day business and we are well prepared for any kind of loading. You can expect from us suggestions in order to optimize shipping cost

What about service and maintenance?

We were wondering when you will ask this question to which we think there is no stronger answer on the market. Check our maintenance and how we approach it, then send it as an template how all the others should work on this, in our opinion, most important topic of all time.

What is the maximum quantity you can produce?

Currently we are sitting on 600 subsoilers a year, but capacity is well capable of doing more since we are well optimized business that doesn't have needless management and board to make a decision. Subsoilers take most amount of time to make, so other products are much faster.
